I really enjoyed my stay here. We extended our stay even, instead of 3 nights we stayed 4 nights. We had a really nice place for our tent (without elektricity) on top of the hill (platz 108).
The facility building is super. There are so many facilities. A lot of clean showers and toilets. You can do your laundry (3,50) and use the dryer (3,5). There is also a place where you can hangdry your clothes. There sinks for the dishes are clean, and there is even a place to use a stove. There is also a freezer (not for food). You can also order bread for in the morning (we didnot do that). Overall just a lot of good facilities.
Loved the area, planned for 1 night, stayed for 2. Friendly people and staff. campsite is more remote so nice for thos e with dogs. short walks give you outstanding views of the mountains and dog friendly access to the lake. Much better value than those around.
One month later (08-08-2022) I remember again the bad experience we had at this campingsite.
The owner almost deliver me a heart attack with his unprofessional behavior.
I mean really; yelling at a customer, pffff boring.
Best drive to another modern camping and forget about the nice bathhouse here, duh!
Oh my god what a mess!
- Go visit this place if you want to experiece 1950 again and meet the bad behaviour of the owner!
- Go meet the two dumb daughters of the owner and their modern communication skills!
- This is not a campingsite for enjoying the hospitality of the nice Bayern community.
We been at many campingsite in Germany and all of Europe and this is the place to be if you want to be dissapointed.
Some people wrote good reviews and than out of blue there’s this negatieve review becauce the family runned “campingsite” are not interested in their customers.
You are warned, be carefull and take care.
Really nice campground on the lake which is picturesque. Very clean! White walled toilets that are not narrow. Very clean wash areas and great breakfast brotchens from a bakery. Water faucets near each camp location. The best site off the beaten path so far. Great place to stay.
+ Nice camping site close to the lake. Friendly staff. Clean sanitary room.
- Some Zeltplätze are on the slope, so it is not very comfortable to sleep on... Large area of bare soil, so it can be muddy on rainy day.
Might win the price of worst place where I stayed during my 14 months bicycle trip around the world.
First of all 20 euro is way to expensive for a person with just a tent and a bicycle. You get a small pitch on a wobbly grasfield, no power close by, wifi doesn’t work, only the shower is good.
And then there was the problem of paying. Under 25 not possible with card. I wanted to buy for 5 euros in the shop, but those where “separate” paying systems. They made me cycle back to the village to get cash, all in the most unfriendly way or without any understanding. Welcome back in organized Western-Europe. Rules rules rules, pay pay pay. Avoid this place at all cost if you are a true traveler. I should have taken the risk to wildcamp after all.
the guy at the front desk is a douche. I asked if I could enter the campground to take pictures, he refused with great indignation.
Wonderful location for a camping place. Very new toilets & shower house, the nicest I have ever been too. There is a small shop with some basics (coffee too). Getting a free spot is quick and very organised. A great place!!
